2014 Season Recap - Return of the Sith Lord

The Sith Lord returned with a vengeance in 2014. Raleigh won his second consecutive championship with a team consisting of one drafted player, five from trades, and seven free agents. He finished the season with a staggering 76 player acquisitions—more than double anyone else in the league.

Dave Dallas became the "new hope" for the league after making the championship game. Most of the league rallied behind him to dethrone Raleigh, but the power of the dark side was too strong. Dave fell in the championship game and Raleigh cemented his dynasty.

The season was packed with drama. Jimmy's Russell Wilson vs Rodgers debate with the Carsons lasted months. Rob Carson ran a full-season campaign to replace Jimmy as commissioner and failed spectacularly. Matt refused to trade Eddie Lacy despite offers from the entire league. And Jimmy held onto Josh Gordon through a 10-game suspension, finally starting him in Week 12 for 12 points.

Rob Sliwka quietly finished first in the regular season riding Peyton Manning but was upset by Dave in the playoffs. Bill McDonald became the Sacco, taking over from his brother Pat and continuing the McDonald family tradition. A keeper rule was implemented after a 6-4 vote, changing the league forever.
