Raleigh's 76 Moves

Raleigh's 76 Moves

Let's talk about Raleigh's 2014 season by the numbers: 76 player acquisitions and 7 trades. For context, the next highest acquisition count was Jimmy with 34. Raleigh literally made more moves than double anyone else in the league.

The controversy started building around mid-season when people realized Raleigh was constantly cycling through players and making trade offers left and right. By late season, Rob C. was so fed up with the transaction notifications that he wanted to call a vote to make each transaction cost money. That's how chaotic it got.

Here's the kicker: it worked. Raleigh won the championship with a roster consisting of 1 drafted player, 5 players from trades, and 7 free agents. The Sith Lord wheeled and dealt his way to a title, and there wasn't much anyone could do about it except complain.

The league is still debating whether this was genius strategy or just annoying. Probably both.
