Draft Order Rules

  • Playoff teams (top 6) draft in inverse order of their final standings. The champion picks last, runner-up picks second to last, and so on.
  • Non-playoff teams (bottom 6) are entered into a lottery for picks 1 through 6. All six teams have an equal chance.
  • Lottery order is determined randomly each year by the commissioner before the draft.
Why lottery? No weighted lottery means there is never a benefit to tanking. Losing on purpose does not improve your draft position.
Why inverse? Playoff teams earned a competitive roster. They draft late as a balance, not a penalty.
No consolation bracket? The consensus is that teams out of the playoffs should not be making moves that could affect who wins. If you are out, you are done for the year.

Keeper Rules

  • Each team may keep one player per season, declared by the commissioner’s deadline.
  • A player kept last year is not eligible again this year.
  • Players drafted in rounds 1–6 cost that same round pick.
  • Players drafted in round 7 or later cost a 6th round pick.
  • Players added off waivers cost a 6th round pick.
